To address this issue and extend a helping hand to those in need, we are proud to introduce our new initiative, “Gift a Vision.”
Our Vision for the Underprivileged
Gift a Vision is a heartfelt concept dedicated to providing sight-restoring cataract operations to underprivileged individuals who cannot afford the cost of treatment. Through this initiative, we aim to bring the joy of clear vision and improved quality of life to those who are less fortunate.
How It Works
Identifying the Needy
To begin this transformative journey, we collaborate with local NGOs and community organizations to identify individuals from economically challenged backgrounds who are suffering from cataracts and urgently require surgical intervention.
Sharing the Responsibility
At Emerald Eye Hospital, we firmly believe in the power of collective impact. Under the Gift a Vision initiative, the hospital and the sponsorer’s come together to share the cost of the cataract operation. The hospital covers 50% of the expenses, while the sponsorer generously contributes the remaining 50%.
Surgery and Aftercare
Once selected, the patient undergo the cataract surgery at Emerald Eye Hospital, performed by our team of skilled and experienced ophthalmologists. Following the operation, we provide comprehensive post-operative care and ensure that each recipient receives the necessary medications and follow-up consultations.
